Our Background

FMRC (Financial Management Research Centre) was established in 1969 by the University of New England (in Armidale, NSW) to undertake benchmarking for small businesses in Australia. In 1983 it became a private company and was located alongside the University.

Geoff Perry joined FMRC in 1984 and headed-up the Pharmacy-Retail-Dealership sectors. In 1998 FMRC split into 3 companies. Geoff established FMRC Business Development specialising in training and consulting to pharmacy, retail, machinery and automotive.

He specialises in courses for Owners, Franchisees and Franchise Development Managers tailored to your business or marketing systems. The industries he specialises in are found on the Industry tabs and he has over 25 years experience assisting business or practice owners in these sectors.

He has developed national programs for franchisors or co-operatives using benchmarking and tailored courses to their systems to assist their dealer or member development.

His home base is in the University town of Armidale in Northern NSW and he conducts courses throughout Australasia.

When you come to one of Geoff’s courses you will apply the exercises to your own business or a specific case-study and share the course with around 20 people from your industry who are keen to share their practices and grow their businesses.
